This is the first step toward helping your dog become the best dog he or she can be.

I always start with a consultation, evaluation, and demonstration session unless you are only interested in Housetraining and prefer to start immediately without a consultation.

During the consultation, I will help with whatever issues I can, like jumping or nipping. I will evaluate what obedience and behavioral issues your dog needs help with and how well your dog responds on a leash during a demonstration. I also listen to you, the pet parent, talk about what made you decide to seek training help and what you would like your dog to accomplish during the training. Then, we can make a plan together and schedule another appointment to start training.

As a professional trainer for 30+ years with extensive experience in veterinary medicine and other dog-related fields, I can confidently say there is much more to “training” than just obedience. I “TEACH” dogs, meaning that through association, your dog can be conditioned to understand when to use obedience training without being repeatedly told or bribed with a treat. 

I help turn the “family dog” into a wonderful “member of the family.” Behavior modification, social grace, and good manners are extremely important and can only be accomplished with understanding, devotion, and the correct technique.

A consultation, evaluation, and demonstration session is necessary to develop a comfort level for everyone, including your canine family member, and make a training plan together.

I only do private training in the pet parent’s home, neighborhood, and social settings like stores and walking trails. Of course, all sessions are done with the pet parent.

Because of my extensive experience in Dog Training and Behavior and many other canine-related fields, I am considered a Canine Behaviorist and Canine Expert. Every method used is explained and practiced with the pet parents to ensure success. No two dogs are alike, and teaching methods must be customized to achieve the best results.

The issues most often mentioned—Leash Pulling, Barking, and Jumping—are just a small part of my routine training.
