Part of my dog training and puppy rearing curriculum for new clients and everyone else, is keeping your puppy or adult dog as clean as possible. This activity has always been a part of my daily routine with my dogs and I strongly believe it’s immensely important during this health crisis.

Before his leash and collar are removed, I routinely clean my dog’s paws and private areas after he has defecated or urinated and has free access to our home.

With the recommendation of my veterinarian, I use unscented baby wipes. I strongly recommend this method of keeping your dog clean and find it to be just as important as washing my own hands.

It should be incorporated into every pet parent’s customary hygiene practices for their canine family.

As in all training and conditioning your dog to respond appropriately, your dog will consider this technique an acceptable part of grooming.
