Here we go again! This time, for me, it was a shock that one of the more trusted brand names in the dog food industry, is on recall.
Though the recall is voluntary FROMM Shredded Entrée canned dog food, could potentially cause “adverse reactions in all dog sizes,” according to a notice posted on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s website.
Internal analysis of the canned dog food showed elevated levels of vitamin D. Symptoms include vomiting, loss of appetite, increased thirst, increased urination, and excessive drooling and can lead to serious health issues including renal dysfunction. If your dog has consumed any of the affected products and is exhibiting these symptoms should contact your veterinarian immediately.
